About Us
Awake Institute is involved in various projects related to human fatigue in 24/7 operations and the effects of shiftwork and long work hours. Research is conducted in laboratory and workplace settings. Awake Institute provides consulting to government agencies, non-profit organizations, employers of 24/7 operations and product development companies.
Awake Institute is directed by Anneke Heitmann. Dr. Heitmann has over twenty years of professional experience in research on sleep/alertness, chronobiology and shiftwork applications
Mission

with specific focus on 24/7 workplace applications to benefit occupational health and safety.
